2017 Cup of Excellence Winner (Nicaragua) Our first Reserve coffee is made of 100% maragogype beans. These beans are larger than normal Arabica beans – which is why they’re called Elephant Beans. These beans have tremendous body, creaminess, and oils, which make for an extraordinary cup of coffee.

Some of the tasting notes include cocoa, red fruit, citrus, and earthiness. This coffee won the Cup of Excellence competition in 2017. This recognition lends unnecessary opinions to something we already knew. This is one of the world’s best coffees.

This was the first “Reserve” coffee that we ever offered. It is only available in small quantities because this farm is small and the bean is hard to cultivate.
