Elephant Magazine Issue 32 (Autumn, 2017)

Established in late 2009, Elephant is a quarterly magazine on contemporary art and visual culture. Edited by Marc Valli, Elephant features up-to-the-minute visual material, fresh faces and original voices, covering and uncovering new trends and talent in contemporary visual culture. In this issue: Is social media ruining our lives? Elephant magazine introduces a major re-design and dedicates this issue to the theme “Perfect Me, Perfect You”. Social media provides us with an endless stream of images celebrating the perfect life-the perfect body, the perfect dinner, the perfect couple enjoying the perfect sunset in the perfect holiday destination. But are we living better lives as a result of this idealizing visual bombardment?
