I Married An Elephant Trainer: A Story of Love

We were just two kids who grew up and fell in love in the summer of 1989 at a wildlife park in Texas. I grew up going to church three times a week, and he was an 80’s heavy metal rock fan.  I was drawn to him, and when I looked into his eyes, I knew he was the one.

A few months after we were married, a hurricane brought me back to God, and I began to change. I wanted my husband to go to church with me, and he just wanted his wife back. Despite all of this, we chose to stay together. Follow our journey of miracles as we decided to believe that true love is meant to last forever.
